{"id":568,"date":"2011-12-16T13:40:53","date_gmt":"2011-12-16T18:40:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/backbone.infoportfolio.com\/?p=544"},"modified":"2016-06-06T08:36:31","modified_gmt":"2016-06-06T13:36:31","slug":"kickstart-the-american-radio-revolution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/backbonebroadcast.com\/BB\/kickstart-the-american-radio-revolution\/","title":{"rendered":"Kickstart The American Radio Revolution!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I want to tell you a little bit about a project we are supporting as they near the end of\u00a0their fund-raising effort. \u00a0It is\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;The American Revolution&#8221;, how a radio station, politics and rock and roll changed everything<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0It is about the start of WBCN and free form radio in the greater Boston area in the late 1960s.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1310\" src=\"http:\/\/backbonenetworksradio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Bill-Lichtenstein.png\" alt=\"Bill Lichtenstein - Boston Herald\" width=\"196\" height=\"279\" \/>For the past five years, as hundreds of supporters have shared their personal collections of rare tapes, photos, and memorabilia, Lichtenstein Creative Media has been producing a feature-length documentary film,\u00a0<b>The American Revolution<\/b>. \u00a0This innovative Kickstarter fund raising campaign\u00a0will provide the support needed to complete the documentary, which is being produced for theatrical and PBS release in 2012 by the Peabody Award-winning Lichtenstein Creative Media, in conjunction with the non-profit Filmmakers Collaborative.<\/p>\n<p>The effort has mobilized the public and press in an extraordinary way. \u00a0See the WCVB Chronicle story at\u00a0www.KickstartWBCN.com\u00a0and the amazing story in\u00a0the Herald.\u00a0Support on-line has also been unbelievable. \u00a0You can get a flavor if you look at the comments on the Kickstarter site.
